Before founding Kiyeon Law, Daniel gained extensive experience at prestigious AM 100-ranked law firms, served as CEO of a biotech company, and contributed as a scientist at the National Institutes of Health. He is admitted to the Washington D.C. bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Brian Lathrop, Ph.D., J.D.

With over two decades of experience in patent prosecution, Brian Lathrop has a distinguished career. Prior to joining Kiyeon, he worked at top AM 100 law firms and served as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Although retired from active legal practice in 2022, Brian continues to advise the firm on non-legal matters. He is admitted to the Virginia bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Robert Seabold, Ph.D., J.D.

Robert (“Bob”) Seabold brings over 20 years of expertise in patent litigation and corporate law, with a specialization in ANDA litigation, trademarks, copyright, bankruptcy, and corporate matters. Before joining Kiyeon, Bob honed his skills at renowned AM 100 law firms. He holds a doctoral degree from Johns Hopkins University and is admitted to the Maryland bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Hart Roemer, J.D.

Hart Roemer has three decades of experience in fair trade and antitrust law. He began his legal career as an antitrust trial attorney at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, focusing on oil company mergers. He later served as Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Division of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office. Hart played a significant role as Maryland’s representative in the landmark multi-state lawsuit against Microsoft, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice. Hart earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and is admitted to the Maryland bar.
Harriet Kamendi, PhD, DABT, RAC

Dr. Harriet Kamendi is a seasoned regulatory consultant with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. She is skilled in developing regulatory strategies, conducting gap analyses for due diligence, and providing nonclinical development consulting. Harriet’s career includes positions as a risk assessment scientist at AstraZeneca and Emergent BioSolutions, as well as Director of Toxicology at American Preclinical Services (now part of NAMSA). She holds regulatory affairs certifications for both U.S. and global markets and is a board-certified toxicologist.
Carlos Montano, Ph.D.

Dr. Carlos Montano has over 30 years of experience in international public health, with a focus on healthcare systems in developing countries. His previous roles include Director of Research at a United Nations agency and Professor at a medical college in Guatemala. Carlos received his academic training at Cambridge University and the University of Arizona.

Dr. Alvaro Rivera is a distinguished epidemiologist and entrepreneur. His experience includes serving as a Fogarty Research Fellow, researcher at a public health NGO, and co-founder of Bitmec, a startup dedicated to improving access to high-quality medical care through mobile technology. Alvaro earned his degrees from Tel Aviv University and Universidad de San Carlos.
