For our startup clients, we have witnessed clients successfully navigating through all stages of corporate growth; starting with establishing a formidable intellectual property portfolio around their technologies, attracting investment by leveraging the IP assets, finishing clinical trials, receiving product approvals from the government, and finally selling the products and increasing their market share. Virtually all of the success stories we experienced had a humble beginning; an idea scratched on a piece of paper and discussed in a meeting that was no more than a unplanned casual conversation with no set agenda. Time and time again, when we trace the successes we had back to their origins, they all began with what seemed at the time an inconsequential discussion, and hence the name of our firm, Kiyeon, which means a serendipitous encounter.
