Daniel Zang, Ph.D., J.D.
Managing Partner
Daniel is an attorney with a doctorate in Biochemistry. He is primarily experienced in commercial transactions including licensing and general corporate law, intellectual property, and FDA regulations. Prior to founding Kiyeon Law, Daniel worked at highly respected AM 100-ranked law firms, served as a CEO of a biotech company, and a scientist at the National Institutes of Health. He is admitted to the Washington D.C. bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Brian Lathrop, Ph.D., J.D.
Partner
Brian has practiced in patent prosecution over twenty years. Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked at highly respected AM 100 law firms, and was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Brian retired from his legal practice in 2022 and currently advises the firm only on non-legal matters. He is admitted to the Virginia bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Robert Seabold, Ph.D., J.D.
Partner
Bob has over twenty years of experience in patent litigation and corporate matters. He is specialized in ANDA litigation, trademark, copyright, bankruptcy, and corporate law. Prior to joining the firm, Bob worked at highly respected AM 100 law firms. Robert studied at Johns Hopkins University. He is admitted to the Maryland bar and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Hart Roemer, J.D.
Of Counsel
Hart has three decades of legal practice in fair trade matters. Hart began his career as an antitrust trial attorney in the Bureau of Competition, Federal Trade Commission, primarily working on oil company mergers. He then served as Assistant Attorney General, Antitrust Division, Maryland Office of the Attorney General. Most notably, he was the Maryland representative in the multi-state lawsuit brought against Microsoft in conjunction with the United States Department of Justice that resulted in a landmark consent decree. Hart graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with an LL.M. in Taxation. He is admitted to the Maryland bar.

Harriet Kamendi, PhD, DABT, RAC
Senior Advisor
Harriet is a regulatory consultant with a doctorate in Pharmacology. She is experienced in developing regulatory strategy for product development; conducting gap analysis for due diligence; regulatory meeting preparation, engagement, and submissions; nonclinical development consulting; quality audits. Prior to founding Kandih Group, Harriet worked as a Risk assessment scientist at AstraZeneca Plc and Emergent BioSolutions. Harriet also served as director of toxicology at American Preclinical Services now a division of NAMSA. Harriet holds regulatory affairs certifications in US and Global Markets and is a board-certified toxicologist.

Carlos Montano, Ph.D.
Senior Advisor
Carlos has over thirty years of experience in international public health. He is specialized in healthcare systems in developing counties. His past experience includes Director of research at one of the United Nations agencies, and a professor at a medical college in Guatemala. Carlos studied  at Cambridge University and Arizona University.

Alvaro Rivera, M.D., MBA
Senior Advisor
Alvaro is an experienced epidemiologist and entrepreneur. Past experience includes Fogarty Research Fellow, researcher at a public health NGO,  and co-founder of Bitmec, a startup seeking to bridge access to high quality medical care through the use of mobile technology. Alvaro studied at Tel Aviv University and Universidad de San Carlos.
